Conducted under the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA, along with applicable Local Rules and Conditions of Competition as established by the Alaska Golf Association (AGA) and the host facility.

Entry Fee
- $350 per player
- Carts are a separate add-on expense you can select at the time of registration
- CASH ONLY--SKINS (OPTIONAL) -- $20 Gross, $20 Net Per Day (Players can choose to do both or only one)

Transportation
Golf carts are optional and available at the player’s expense.
- Limit: Two carts per group, two bags per cart
- Shared carts are required unless a valid medical exemption is provided.
Key Dates & Field Limit
- Registration Opens: May 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM
- Entry Deadline: August 1st, 2026, at 10:00 PM
- Field Limit: First 75 players to register (10 person waitlist), AGA reserves the right to adjust fields based upon entries.
Eligibility for Last Frontier Championship
To be eligible to compete in the Last Frontier Championship, an applicant must:
- Be a bona fide resident of the State of Alaska, as defined in Section IV of the AGA Tournament Eligibility Policy;
- Possess an active Handicap Index® issued by an AGA member club through the World Handicap System™;
- Have posted a minimum of seven (8) scores at AGA member courses within the two (2) calendar years preceding the competition.
- Be of the AGE of 25 by August 14th, 2026.
Championship Format & Schedule
- 54-hole Stroke Play, contested at scratch for gross scores --- DOUBLE PAR MAX ex. Par 3 = 6, Par 4 = 8, Par 5 = 10
- 54-hole Stroke Play, contested at NET scoring.
- Players will be flighted after first day scores.
- The AGA reserves the right to adjust flight assignments as needed.
Flights & Tee Assignments
Friday August 14th, Men will commence play from the BLUE TEES. Upon completion the men's entrants will be flighted based upon Gross Score.
Men’s Flights
To be determined after 1st day scoring.
Denali (Championship Flight) --- BLUE Tees
Wrangell (1st Flight) --- WHITE TEES
Chugach (2nd Flight) --- WHITE TEES
Women’s (Foraker/Sleeping Lady) Flights: Assigned based on entries – RED TEES
All flights will compete at scratch. Players may declare for the Championship Flight prior to the first round. * AGA reserves the right to adjust a player flight after the first round is completed.
Rules & Local Policies
- F-13: Relief from animal hoof damage
- F-14: Loose impediments (e.g., wood chips) treated as Ground Under Repair (GUR)
- Marked GUR: Relief permitted
Doubt as to Procedure
Rule 3-3 applies: If in doubt, play a second ball and report the situation to the Committee after the round.
Driving Range
Opens 1 hour before the first tee time each day.
Scoring & Pairings
- Scoring: Electronic via the Golf Genius mobile app (one scorer per group)
- Verification: All players must verbally confirm scores after the round
- Backup: Keep a paper scorecard for personal records
- Pairings: Posted via Golf Genius before Round 1
- Re-pairings: Based on standings after each round
Player Agreement & Consent
By submitting an entry, each participant affirms:
- They meet all eligibility requirements
- Their entry may be denied or withdrawn by the AGA Tournament Committee or host club for:
- Conduct deemed unbecoming
- Non-compliance with AGA policies or tournament conditions
- They accept full personal liability for risks associated with participation, including health-related risks
- They waive the right to protest decisions made by the AGA or Tournament Committee
- They grant the AGA permission to use their name, photograph, and event-related information in print, digital, and broadcast media
